I actually spent an hour before bed the other night watching several Charles Kuralt CBS news videos where he travels the country and goes to small towns. I think it's this same series. Very cool stuff, some interesting characters and cool stories.
in 1983 the only way to ever hear about these people or these towns would be if CBS news went there, or if you traveled there yourself.
