LSU fans deserve better. Kiffin was a solid hire and should turns things around after BK fricked things up so bad. Who is the answer for basketball?

The answer for basketball was to keep Wade, the same way Kansas kept Self.

At this point, the answer is just change in general.

They need to hire someone good, but just making a change would build a lot of hype and probably fill the stands again. McMahon's teams are really bad but they can't keep fans in the stands because of how HOPELESSLY bad they are

There has to be coaches out there that can do this job. I know the default answer is wade, but even if it isn’t there have got to be coaches who are competent in game play and recruit. I’m going to be positive and think there is already plans being made. There has to be a change

I get your point, but football has gone to the SEC Championship game and produced a Heisman in that time. Not comparible to basketball at all.

The Scott Woodward experiment was a disaster.

I can’t even begin to tell you how disliked Scott Woodward was by everyone not in the Landrieu New Orleans group he prioritized.

Wade should have never been fired.

Complete disaster. Coach Jay wasn’t his choice and Mulkey basically hired herself due to Baylor issues and family health issues.

BK and CoachMc, just horrible. In a history of terrible ADs, Woody could up rock bottom.

We clearly have big money boosters who are invested in making sure football and baseball succeed. I'm just not sure that we do with MBB. If we did the program would not have been neglected all these years.

The next few months are important to see the importance of men’s basketball at LSU.

LSU football hasn't been largely successful but they've hardly been irrelevant.
Since the title in '19
Covid where no one was relevant short of Bama but we were in the news due to racial unrest
We were irrelevant in '21 until we stole Brian Kelly from ND so not so irrelevant after all
SEC champions
Daniel's Heisman campaign
Were pretty good until Nuss started crapping the bed
Huge expectations after winning the portal, fired Kelly, stole the best coach available from a top 5 playoff team in the midst of their run, absolutely drug our nuts over the transfer portal.
Seems even when we arent good people just cant stop discussing LSU football. Reminds of what Saban told us years ago and reiterated to Kiffin, "LSU is the best job in America".
And im no sunshine pumper. Facts are facts.

Basketball has been irrelevant since the Brady Final Four unless Wade and his "damn strong offer" drama counts. Certainly not due to winning anything of significance.

You think?

2.7 million guaranteed every year for 7 years.

That gets you 16 SEC wins in 3.5 years.

Everyone is taking that job.

Wade literally won the conference. What are you talking about?

Drizz…

It’s over right? There is a payout or payout agreement after the sec tournament.

Beard could be an option, ww ain’t budging, and Brady\jones\trent\ and even ww were the greatest at loosing quality Louisiana players. Whoever caused that hasn’t budged IMO. No one is coming back or choosing to come here for 2.
