Coming in for a night at the rodeo. Plan is to go to the rodeo on Friday and spend the day and evening somewhere away from the rodeo on Saturday.

What part of town should I look at? I’d like whatever hotel I pick be walking distance of bars/restaurants and attractions.

The Cardinal would be ideal.

I’d stay in the Museum District close to Hermann Park. Great green space and can walk around to great museums. Best in the country. Can take the rail down to NRG/rodeo.

Can’t help you with bars only to say be better. Experience something new, not what you do at home. Always love these threads. I’m traveling from Louisiana to such and such city. Anyone recommend a bar? Grow up.

Hilton of America's used to have hookers at the lobby bar on the regular.
That's all I got.

There have to be better museums and green spaces somewhere in the country.

Are you driving in? You're only hitting the rodeo one night, and they designate park and ride lots where you park, take a 10 minute tram ride to the entrance of NRG. Do *not* rely on Uber if you're going to a concert. My $40 inbound Uber ride from the burbs turned into a $200 ride back.

Marriott medical center is right by the train which will take you straight to NRG.

Now you might have to uber to a place to eat because the medical center is dead at night.
