Louisiana Loaded with Verge Ausberry

Jordy meh. But really enjoyed watching this interview with Verge. I admit to not really knowing much about Verge, but I sure like what I hear. I think he's a genuine LSU guy who expects winning at the big sports on campus. Expects it. His basketball answer didn't really make me feel great, but I also think he knows it's over but so is the season so why not get the money together first. Anyway I can't help but be excited in the direction we're going

Whats a Verge? a narrow time in space?

Jordy could litterally be governor of this state if he wanted to be. Reirreguardless of your feelings, he is an elite talent when it comes to sports carpentry radio podcast shows on air live.

This gives me pause. Hopefully he cans McMahon with another missed tournament. If he’s brought back for Year 5 with no tourney this year, then we’ll have a hell of a time reversing the losing culture of the MBB program.
I’m hoping this is just Verge looking to be dignified when having to talk about a dumpster fire and not publicly trashing McMahon.

I'd be very shocked after hearing that interview if he decided to fire him.
I did like his answer about Football needing to be the top priority.

Maybe he's thinking new coach with new building? He did slide in something about a new arena.
FWIW, I lost a lot of respect for Jordy back when he was pushing for Billy Napier outrageously. He was the only one I could ever stand doing whiskey and wine though.

Jordy is a good interviewer

If football didn't go through firing BK and hiring LK and staff along with the NIL roster we have, he'd be canned 100% imo.
He's going to give him one more year, and he can thank BK and LSU Football for that.

So you’re happy with a 16-47 SEC record and want more of the same? Got it.

Oh well. On to baseball I go. We’re obviously not a serious basketball program and choose not to have any pride in it.
Let me know when that failure is finally fired.

Good read IMO. I don’t love it, but I understand it.
I disagree with people who believe another year makes it harder to turn around the culture. In this era all it takes is the right hire.
I won’t get my hopes up for next year though. I pulled for McMahon every step of the way, but even without the injuries I don’t think our post play improves — and LSU being weak inside has become an identity under Matt.
