Black women don’t straighten their hair for white people, that’s a load of nonsense. They do it for themselves or other black women, has nothing to with whitey.

And here's what's so stupid about it:
You're not straightening it to follow white people's beauty standards. You're straightening it to follow black men's beauty standards. You're straightening it to appeal to all those black men out there who continually reject black women in favor of white women.
Obama...you really want to have the conversation about race that you need to lead? Call out black men for the continual rejection of black women, especially well-to-do, successful professional black men.
Black women have been giving black men a pass since way before the OJ trial, when Marcia Clark was perfectly content to have an almost all black female jury, foolishly thinking they would sympathize with the woman who got her throat slit instead of the wealthy, successful black guy.
