LSU hosted JUCO OL target Adrian Lamb on a visit. Would count toward ‘26 class.

Stepping over Bama to get recruits is new and much appreciated.

Love Lane’s approach to oline
CBK said “frick it, no need for experienced depth. Let’s ride with DJ Chester as the backup to every oline position.”

Build out that OL depth with not just some "walk ons" but young guys you can really develop and maybe turn into something down the line.
You'll get more competition from guys like this & Ja'Mard Jones than some traditional walk ons. Guys with some college football experience that have 3+ years left is a nice to have. guys you dont expect to play right away at all but give you options down the line and more competition for the guys playing now too.

CBK was in charge. It's his final call.

I think cross-training is great. But when D J Chester is your #1 guy to replace any position, that says it all.

A lot of people ask when they knew this season was over
For me I had early questions when they inserted DJ Chester for an injured Tyree Adams at LT in the Clemson game, but it was very brief. He still gave up 2 pressures in 3 pass block snaps which was
Then later on the season, Chester came in at LT again against Vandy and got absolutely owned. I knew we were probably cooked at that point. They then put him at LT in the A&M game the following week for a bit and he got REALLY owned. He gave up 5 total pressures in just 9 pass block snaps that game; for a 0.0 grade pass blocking. I dont know I've seen a 0.0 grade before when you actually have a number of snaps in a game like that.
That's when I knew there was no plan for a backup LT really here, just put in an "experienced" guy and hope for the best. The coaching was just terrible on offense overall, had no clue what they were doing.
