Anyone try the new Callaway Quantum driver yet?

I have never been a Callaway player, but I am hearing very high praise for the new Quantum driver. Very forgiving and extra 10-15 yards of carry. Has anyone here tried it yet? If so, please share your thoughts.

Not the TM drivers... they're well over 800 yards long now after adding 28 drivers in the past 8 years.

My bad. Context matters. Vs various other drivers (using the previously used (same) shaft applicable to the person). Compared to these previous models:
Callaway AI Smoke, Elyte
TM Sim 2, Qi10, Qi4D
Titleist TS series (Titleist is never known for distance though)
Promo is due to how thin this face is while utilizing 3 different materials fused together. That makes me wonder how long will the face hold up.
One of the reviews was from an elderly gentleman who is not a good golfer, but loves the game. Very high praise about the new driver.

I was fitted for Ai smoke triple diamond. Hit the Elyte once, traded it. Much better dispersion and better results on off center hits.
Kinda hoping Quantum is as much improvement.

The new Quantum won't hit it further than any of these if both are hit out of the middle at the same clubhead speed.
The only way a new driver can gain distance now (and for quite awhile) is improved aero leading to higher clubhead speeds at impact. And that's probably pretty maxed out too at this point.

There's a USGA limit to this and every driver released in recent history is at that limit.

Everyone is going lighter. Just like little league baseball. Lighter the bat faster ball speed. There is still about 20 yards of untapped distance that we have witnesses testing over the last year. Maybe more than 20. They needed a way to conform as well as not crack and not change face roll which was a big reason a major change came this season for most. They found a way to do it.

Will it reach the point where we “lease” a driver?

That is also what Callaway is promoting. Faster clubhead speed.
“Designed for enhanced speed, it uses a unique Tri-Force face (74% titanium, 14% carbon, 12% poly mesh) to reduce weight and increase ball speed, with models ranging from maximum forgiveness to low-spin, tour-level performance.”

Apparently it’s not. There is a reason the M2 driver is illegal on tour, yet the M2 :-wood is not (Brooks K. is playing it).

To back this up, I bought a Ping G30 back in 2014 that I've been trying to get rid of for the past 5 years now. I'll go to Edwin Watts each year and test it against the new drivers, and the G30 still has similar (or even better in some cases) numbers with a tighter dispersion than the newest models. The simulator says I'm in the 165 range for ball speed no matter which driver I hit, including the G30, which should be plenty to see technology improvements.
There's a case to be made that the face has been broken in making it slightly more springy and that I've become accustomed to the shaft, but I'm not dropping $600 on a driver until I find one that outperforms it.

Most drivers can be made lighter than the new Callaway Quantum if need be by just removing any adjustable weight in the back of the head... and anyone claiming 10-15+ yards has almost surely found a driver and shaft combo that simply fits them better than their old setup.
I'd be willing to bet that, next year, Callaway will come out with a driver head that is marketed as heavier to increase mass which will supposedly translate more force into the ball and improve forgiveness across the face.

10-15yds seems too good to be true for someone with a well fitted driver. I’m still gaming my Callaway Epic “Star”…

Hit both the quantum and qi4d today. Similar numbers maybe slightly more carry and ball speed with the quantum. However the qi4d felt crisper even on slightly off center strikes. They didn’t have a full shaft selection so going to try again in a couple weeks. Ventrus black shaft in qi4d and a Mitsubishi 50 in the Calloway

For me, the only reason I'll upgrade a driver is if it improves my miss. Currently, I'm playing a Ping G425 and while it sounds atrocious, it flat out performs for me and my swing. No reason to get rid of it until I find the unicorn that actually helps my game. I'm not chasing distance with a driver... I chase improving my faults.
That being said, the 440 LST might be in the bag soon as its low face strikes are impressive and I miss low on the face time to time.

Yeah I have one in the bag. Its fast. Added 6-8mph of clubhead speed for me compared to the Elyte.

I did two fittings last year. One at golfballs and one at a tirleist fitting day.
Neither got me out of my 410 lst.
Guys at golfballs said I would crack it before replacing it.
5 yards not worth $600-$800, unless i just want to swing something new
