He needs to get a super bowl add where it starts with "a message from a president of the US" and it being key parts Obama/Clinton/Biden on immigration deportations. Then simply end it with him saying "I'm President Donald J Trump and I approve this message". Then keep putting commercials like that with Dems in various markets.

But of course the Right messages like neophytes so nothing like it will happen.

Does Anyone wonder why ICE had a much better perception under Obama than it does now under Trump?

Obama didn't have to contend with cities and states declaring themselves as sanctuaries. He didn't have to deal with mayors and governors (and Congressmen and the media) calling him fascist/Nazi/dictator and viewing to fight his orders for deportation efforts publicly and incessantly.

Obama's ICE raids weren't met with the coordinated violent opposition and interference from the paid and recruited citizen protestors. Even though the two presidents had stated essentially the same goal of their ICE operations and same feelings toward deportations and the raids behind them, Obama had much wider support from everyone. Why is that?

I just look at Tom Holman. Under Obama, Holman was the Assistant ICE Director and he was given awards and praised for the job he did (and largely flew under the radar of the vast majority of people that didn't follow ICE deportations).

Under Trump, he is the devil and a racist and is called all sorts of nasty names, has been doxed and he and his family have received multiple threats on their lives. He hasn't changed and his role to serve the country hasn't changed much. But the public's reactions to him have sure changed.

Why is that?

They counted everyone caught at the boarder and taken back. Hell they probably deported the same people over and over.

Step one and the biggest step was closing the boarder.
Everyhting now is gravy.

There are two types of "Deportations". Removal and Return. The removals require and order of deportation, and returns do not. If you come across the border and the BP catches you, they can send you right back over the border, which is a return, but counts as a deportation, even though there is no official order of deportation.

The numbers are way down under Trump because the number of people crossing into the country has dried up to almost nothing. Almost all of the "deportations" under Biden were "turn backs", or returns.

Obviously, Trump is being more aggressive at hunting down criminal aliens, and the liberals are digging in their heels to protect them.

I hope that any deal they make on cutting back ICE raids on homes should also include concessions that require local law enforcement to hold these criminal aliens for ICE and stop calling ICE after they let them go.
