Also I love the very recognizable Jack Kirby art:

Their take is something along the lines of the original Wonder Man being a scifi movie star, with the new guy being hired to play the part and somehow gains powers as part of that.

It's an interesting take, but not sure why they felt the need to stray so far from the original revenge-and-redemption origin. It's about like re-writing Spiderman's origin to take out the death of Uncle Ben and the whole bit about "with great power comes great responsibility."

Has anyone actually watched it yet? I plan to this weekend. It’s getting very good reviews from trusted sources.

I watched the first three episodes before falling asleep, it's fine.

If you're expecting a whole lot of action it's definitely not that, more of a slow burn and a very small scope compared to usual MCU projects.

Best part has been the return of Ben Kingsley.

I binged it last night, I am 5 episodes in, till I had to go to bed to get up early. But the show is great. I absolutely love Sir Ben Kingsley. He can make any mundane role look good. And the lead actor, I won't try to butcher his name is a solid actor as well.

Honestly I had become jaded with marvel shows but this is a breath of fresh air. Not everything is about saving the world. At least so far into the series.

I need to catch up on the MCU shows I am only at Loki season 2. Streaming on the whole just has so much more better stuff to watch and you don’t really need to watch the shows to see the movies.
