Lane spent a lot of time at USC as a coach. Does that give us pipeline to the West Coast?

That would be awesome if we started pulling a bunch of players from California and the rest of the West Coast. A lot of good QBs come from that area.

I saw that Lane hosted a big recruit from California over the weekend. Could it be the beginning of a pipeline?

Does it matter anymore? Just write the biggest check.

It gives him a foot in the door. That’s all you need when you are carrying a bag of papers with dead white men on them.

To an extent, but it's like any other situation at LSU. You need to fill the bulk of the roster through LA, TX, and other pipeline states.

Maybe Finney Jr will break the cycle but our California high school pulls haven't been worth the effort.

Eli Ricks was good while he was here before he betrayed us and defected to Bama.

I remember a QB, last name Daniels? First name Jayden? He grew up in CA, played a lot of college ball against west coast teams.

Lane has formed a pipeline all across America. There isnt a legit High School Prospect that doesn't know Lane and is image.

I would just recruit kids that love LSU unless they are absolute top tier that can contribute as freshman. Otherwise you are paying HS kids to come in, sit, and hit the portal immediately.

NIL money gives us a pipeline to anywhere. Recruiting is NOTHING like it used to be, it’s all about the money now, unfortunately.

I think the DBU reputation is still out there. With Raymond returning to LSU a year ago, our secondary improved immensely. Delane transferring in and becoming a 1st rd prospect just reaffirms that.

So you have:
a) a visible coach in Kiffin attracting attention
b) NIL money competitive with anyone
c) a known history that if you can start here, you can jump to the NFL and be successful

I think that carries a lot of weight, no matter where in the country you are
