Cold AF in Texas, rewatching the hottest game I have been to at The Box the last few years. 2025 Super Regional game 1 vs West Virginia replay
My seat is down the 3 base side on the metal benches. About the 3rd or 4th inning I had to go stand in the shade in a breezeway in the grandstand area.

Also, there was a pitcher for Southern last year that I remember wondering if he was even trying.

I had a conference at the Crowne Plaza that same weekend. Visited with several confident WVU fans at the bar the night before game 1 tried to brace them for the heat.
I haven't ever seen a group of players/fans that looked just totally shot from the heat like they all did after game one. It was of course really hot, but damn it was hard on them. I felt bad for at least 30 seconds.

I remember how hot it was for this game. I’m pretty sure the starter came out in the 3rd or 4th. He looked like he was ready to melt.

Their starting pitcher looked like he was about to have a heat stroke from the humidity. That baw was hoping he could tap his helmet to get subbed out.
