The migration path once trusted by millions can be ours to protect–and yours to rediscover.

At the turn of a changing century, a band of conservationists, hunters, and biologists united with a singular vision: to perserve the natural rhythm of North America’s waterfowl migration. Rooted in the traditions of ethical hunting and guided by a deep respect for the land, Flyway Federation was founded to restore integrity to the flyways that once pulsed with life from the Canadian boreal to the Gulf Coast marshes.

No, simply because for everyone who’s hunting went to crap when the migration patterns changed, there is a person who has a lot better hunting.

For everyone who’s winner, there has got to be a loser.

The really sad thing about it is that their organization could have been professional and efficient, however the vast majority of what I see from Josh Goins and the other guy who is on The Outdoor News (not the show host) revolves around a bunch of name calling and belittling of folks who ask questions.

They obviously had no idea how to have an effect on legislation. Simply being mad isn’t enough to cause change.

In addition, it appears their group struggles to find qualified biologists to support their theories or plead their case within the circles of power where these things are debated and decided.

They seem to be very excited about Senator Kennedy writing his letter to Fish and Wildlife.

If you duck hunt go listen to the latest episode of the Standard Sportsman podcast. Believe it or not it appears those yahoos actually have a valid point but it is way down the list of issues. The duck pop is cratering.

That seems to be the way that it is done nowadays…unfortunately.

They have some valid gripes on a few things but the boogeyman 1998 rule change that is the basis of their anger and I think mentioned in the first sentence of John Kennedy letter is flat false. They double down on stupidity when you question them and you can not have an honest conversation as they just resort to name calling and you can’t get anything done like that

Corn is a major driver of this but it’s not all flooded corn There are millions of acres of harvested corn since 1998 that were once other crops that ducks flew right over. Corn increased when ethanol mandates came about

If they even want to have any of a chance they better get a better spokesperson than the dipshit Josh Goins, but likely not a frozen dick’s chance in hell they gain any traction.

Yea they went after the wrong issue

Should’ve gone after swamp busting in Canada and the Dakotas - destroying the habitat

Exactly. How do these clowns explain the birds that never even made it to the flooded corn?

Geese too. At least the geese that migrate to Louisiana.

Speaking of Canada...

I think they are killing waay too many in the migration bottleneck in Alberta. Especially around Red Deer. All the birds are funneled through there.

Not even close. There’s more hunters in the state of Arkansas than the entire country of Canada.

I’m sure that’s true but there are tons of Americans who travel to Canada to hunt and they kill a ton of immature ducks and geese. I’m not saying it should be stopped but I’d like to see their season slide back a couple weeks and maybe lower limits. Same for the Upper Midwest. Maybe it wouldn’t make a huge difference but I think every little bit helps - as with other strategies.

Very unprofessional.
No biology background that I’m aware
No DC relationships with Lobby groups
Makes TT’s wearing t shirts from his truck.

I truly understand representing the common man and the base, however when you begin talking issues that involve multiple states, there are certain people you need to represent you.

Frick them, DU, and all the other crap trying to help migratory game. Back in the 70's, 80's and 90's weather like this was an answered prayer for taking migratory game, not anymore. Killed one spoony and a teal yesterday in wet, windy cold as arse weather. Only saw 7 ducks and 18 geese period.

Man no offense but don’t you hunt like Anacoco Lake? A duck would starve to death looking for food there. I think Vernon and Anacoco lakes lack of ducks has more to do with the lack of hydrilla on Toledo Bend and less about DU. When Toledo had hydrilla there were tons of ducks in the area and the traffic birds were killable

Bless your heart, Go Go.

What in your post proves I care nothing about hunting in Louisiana?

I live in Louisiana and own land here

You have no clue about what you’re talking about regarding FF. I know for a 100% fact
