Notre Dame, Texas Tech and Alabama are already penciled in. Who will the other 9 be?

Notre Dame just missed the playoff. Bama just won a road playoff game...these are two you chose to whine about?

Auto bids for four power 4 conference champs regardless of rankings. So Duke with FIVE losses would've gotten in.

How are they so bad at this?

Sounds like they also edited the rules so that the 4 P4 champions get an auto bid, as well as the highest ranked G5 champion, so at least we won’t have another situation with two G5 teams.

how am I whining? Tech and Notre Dame have two of the weaker schedules of all time and Bama gets in even with 4 losses, just stating facts

I think there is an understanding that conferences will edit their tiebreakers so that it’s unlikely that another 5 loss team makes the conference championship game.

Yes, Duke should have gotten in with 5 losses. Remember, this same Duke team got beat by Tulane. Keep the format the same if you’re staying at 12 teams and the Atlantic Coastal Conference with Cal, Stanford, and SMU needs to update their tie breakers.

Yeah I thought of that immediately after hitting send.

Makes sense and still keeps conference champions meaningful.

It doesn't matter if it's 2 or 200 someone will still bitch about being left out so 12 sounds good.

Another year from CFB being completely ruined, at least.

Well, this decision (or lack thereof) was basically made by the SEC and Big Ten commissioners.

It's not their fault the ACC had a terrible tie-breaker to determine a champion.
