They asked him a lot of questions about his time in Buffalo, the catch, the firing, etc.

Here’s a brief summary

- said it was absolutely a catch and the ball never left his hands until the defender took the ball away once they were on the ground

- said Josh Allen carries more on his shoulders than any QB he’s ever seen

- said that McDermott is a great coach and should be a HC again

- said that he found out about the firing on social media

That's also his biggest weakness. He tries to do too much himself which in turn hurts the team.

So, the 7 playoff games in a row without a turnover where he walks almost perfect and the defense sucked cock hurt the team?

Allen still has the second lowest turnover rate in playoff history. The “he tried to be Superman” just isn’t based in any reality for when it matters. Allen does some dumbass shite in the regular season at times. But factually he is one of the safest QBs in playoff history

if he wasn't their QB, that offense would be near the bottom of the league

They had a defensive head coach who wanted to build his team like the Bellichek pats, which make sense

Solid run game
Good o line
Great QB that can run the offense without much receiver talent
Great defense controlled by the head coach

All worked out well besides the head coach had a defense that sucked cock in big games

That's great. I'm just pointing out a flaw that he has. I'm not slamming him nor am I blaming the playoff losses on him. It's a team game.

Not sure why this touched a nerve.

It’s just not really factual for why Buffalo has faltered, it’s just a media trope

Josh Allen is the second safest QB in playoff history, which is all that matters for this current bills team. The “Superman” put on the cape yada yada just isn’t reality

That's the problem with them. The rest of the team isn't good enough when he has a bad day.

This is astounding

It’s amazing how bad McDermott was in the playoffs

They aren’t good enough even when he has a great day unfortunately

375 yards—2 tds—1 turnover . Playoff loss
397 yards—4tds—0 turnovers. Playoff loss
258 yards—3 tds—0 turnovers. Playoff loss
276 yards— 2 tds—0 turnovers— playoff loss

You're doing a great job showing the kind of load Allen has to carry on his shoulders.

He carries a massive amount of weight on his shoulders, but he carries it better than almost anyone in playoff history as well.

I think both of yall are right. Bills put too much on Allen which holds them back as a team as a whole, but I don’t think he handles it poorly either. Almost all of those losses you can look back on other factors outside of Allen and pin the loss on that. The only loss I would pin on him is this weekends because of the boneheaded fumble and even then arguments could be made for the defense and officiating.

I mean, Brandon Cooks isn't a "call first" guy.

With the speed of information release, this is very reasonable...even if the organization sent a mass communication to the team.

Going back to our other thread, I think you have to go offensive head coach.

It’s just a big risk to try and go defensive head coach again when the graphic I posted earlier in here is such a massive failure how that went in the playoffs

I think McDermott is very lucky people don’t view him worse. He maybe the worst playoff choker of a coach ever

I'm not following your logic.

What makes it a bigger risk? It would seem to me that landing the guy that can impact your defense the most is the path that offers the least risk given the premise that Josh Allen can carry that offense pretty much on his own.

The competition gets better in the playoffs. Teams also generally get thinner due to injuries by the time playoffs come around. Going by memory this happened to Buffalo on defense a few years. And, due to the GM and drafting issues, they weren't built to handle it.

Nonetheless, the decision is made. Now, they need to hire someone else.
