We travel internationally pretty regularly but I’ve never connected through Chicago, so I’m unsure what their passport control/ tsa time is like. We have 1 hour 40 min and global entry. It’s Turkish airlines to united….it was a 2 hour connection but flight was just adjusted. The airline didn’t prompt me to reschedule so I assume they think it’s still doable. The last two times we came home from abroad it was at Dulles and global entry didn’t help much time wise. It was a dumpster fire of epic proportion. What say you frequent fliers?

You can probably do this, I have. Depends how far away your UAL flight is from T5, especially that C concourse that is through the tunnel way out in the middle of the airfield.

IS this one itinerary?

It meets MCT or else they wouldn't ticket it (assuming this is a single ticket). You'll land in T5 and clear security there. From there, you'll need to take a train to T1 and re-clear security there.

It is one itinerary and it’s a late in the day flight too (6:15pm landing, 7:56 departing) I know they build in extra time for taxiing, they did give option to confirm or change may see what the other options are but if I remember correctly, other flight connection times were tight too and I’m sure this isn’t the last change in itinerary before May

This is perfectly fine. You shouldn't have an issue if your plane is not delayed.

I have one coming up that is only 1 hour 15 I believe...in Heathrow.

Didn't realize this was a timing change by the airline. Depending on where your final destination is you could look at taking a different TK flight into somewhere like EWR, IAD, etc. and connecting on from there.

What did you get for connecting through ORD in the winter, and why are you so interested in self inflicted wounds?
TK34 into IAH has never been late when I've been on it, and your chance of weather delays is much lower connecting in Houston. I don't have GE, but I commonly clear IAH immigration in under 5 minutes with Mobile Passport.

lol it’s in May! Not right now. We are on the Houston route on the way there, Chicago flight time worked better on the way home.

At least if its one itinerary they have to get you home one way or another. I've had a few international transfers that are seperate itinerary and missed a flight.
