The nation’s very first true crime-themed restaurant — where you can order the final meals of some of history’s most reviled criminals — is opening a second location.

quote:

One of the restaurant’s owners, Nate Thompson, said he’s a Michigan native who also owns the Michigan Museum of Horror. He spoke to MLive and said he “always thought it would be unique to have a restaurant where you could eat the same last meals” as famous executed criminals. “I’m very excited to bring The Last Meal to Michigan as it was always a goal of ours to do that,” he added.

quote:

At The Last Meal, foodies with a penchant for true crime can order the same final dishes devoured by serial killers John Wayne Gacy (chicken wings, strawberries, fried shrimp and French fries), Ted Bundy (parmesan steak loaded steak fries), and Aileen Wuornos (cup of black coffee and a cheeseburger) before they were put to death for their crimes.

quote:

Order the Caryl Chessman, named after the kidnapper, robber, and serial rapist, and you’ll get a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a bottle of Coca-Cola. Ask for the Timothy McVeigh, and you’ll enjoy what was the homegrown terrorist’s last meal: two pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

The Ohio eatery’s menu also boasts a host of bloody good signature cocktails, including the Helter Seltzer, which was inspired by Charles Manson and his followers’ crimes.

There’s also the Embalming Fluid drink (featuring lime seltzer, strawberry syrup, and “a stab” of lemonade) and a cocktail inspired by infamous murder victim Elizabeth Short boasting lime, pomegranate and blackberry juice, tonic water, and lavender syrup that’s called the Black Dahlia.

This seems a tad heartless

In the documentary The Farm on Angola, they showed a guy having his requested last meal of boiled crawfish, with Warden Burl Cain.

I always found that to be one of the saddest death row last meals I could imagine.

Guess that guy's didn't make the cut.

There are already enough evil's in this world.

This place will be crying on social media to SUPPORT LOCAL when they announce they are shuttering the doors.

Feguer apparently told guards that he hoped an olive tree would grow from his grave, 'as a sign of peace'.

After staying up all night with a priest, he was given a new suit for his execution on 15 March, 1963.

Some reports claim that after Feguer was pronounced dead, officials later found the pit from the olive in one of his suit pockets.

well if not put to death for their heinous crimes, they probably should have been for their last meal choices anyways.
