+1, when she gave the BS about being happy and smiling even though she sent out the unfit "frozen" yogurt soup, i would have axed her for sure

You have to give Carla a little credit too, Opie. Stefan sent out a very badly overcooked piece of salmon. Carla at the very least seems to trust her instincts and not go overboard. Sometimes simpler is better.

IMO Hosea is the weakest in execution.

Carla has been getting stronger it seems.

Is it just me or does Leah always seem like she just throws in the towel on the last few competitions?

It is because she can't cook to the level that the others can.

That was the same thought I took away from my daily morning arse-chewing from my boss...

Ok so what is with Top Chef contestants THINKING that gumbo is always served over rice? Im glad Emeril at least said something about that.. The other judges sure as shite didnt know since they gave Carla a pass on it before.

Carla's roll continues....very nice showing tonight. Although it had to be real close between her and Jeff ( love that wrinkle, although seeing Leah again...arghh... )

Hosea comes up strong..Stefan's arrogance almost costs him big time...and Fabio is left out in the cold..not surprised after they made the comments about his food lacking "heat"..but definitely gotta chalk this one up as an upset. Can Carla pull it off next week? or does Stefan finally come down from high horse and cook his arse off instead of just coasting?...what out for Hosea..he's the dark horse here.

From the blogs it appears that it wasn't as close as it appears on the choice of winners. Apparently Jeff was having some trouble with his chafing dish and his oysters took on the taste of burning sterno so he never really had a chance to win.

I liked Hoseah's dishes the most. To each his own.
