This isn’t surprising at all.

I haven’t seen anything reported out of there tonight. Are they still going all out there?

They need to teach these paid protestors a lesson.

Start with water cannons.

How many people died in the Rodney king riots? I was only like 6 years old I think if they happened in 91

I’m only asking since that’s the last time this was needed and want to gauge a baseline for expectations. I don’t think it was that many, so I will take the over in Minnesota

The Republicans look like the party of law and order when this is done. The democrats portray themselves as chaotic anarchists.

It’s a calculated but likely savvy political move if it happens.

Ok so 63 people died in the RK riots the last time this was invoked.

Hmm that’s a lot of people to take the over

That was not the last time this was needed.

When was the last time it was invoked?

I can’t find anything about it

Fox disagrees with you

Right - it was simply the last time it happened.

You said "needed", not "invoked".

This is what it will take to take these deranged maniacs down - FAFO. I hope the Black Panthers are protecting them - sideways shooting won’t get it done. They will run like cowards.

According to SCOTUS in the Illinois vs. Trump ruling from last year, the President no longer has the authority to send in any Armed Forces. If he wants to send in the Guard, he must seek permission of the governor. (No more federalizing the Guard). If he wants the Army, he must invoke the Insurrection Act.

However, SCOTUS made invoking the Insurrection Act very hard because now it can be reviewed by the courts. This means the ACLU can go to a judge in that state and have him block it. The Judge only has to say that he sees no emergency and it is blocked.
