What rules exist for income reporting for paid protesters

I won a couple of fishing tournaments and each time the organization filed a tax report on the 2-400 dollars award. Daughter teaches a vocal master class at a university and gets a w-2 for 500 dollars. Nice win at a casino, results in a tax report. Government wanted tax reports on sales over 600 dollars on eBay
These protesters, getting paid should have a tax report right? If they do not get a tax report, does the payer go to jail for not filing?
Maybe SFP or Roger could enlighten.

I imagine that why the IRS was also co-opted by the left over the years. They can sweep those details under the rug.

If paid less than $600, no reporting necessary.
I’d bet all the street level filth we see in the videos makes less than that.

600 dollars per day, week, show up for a long weekend, cash, card or check?

They’re not worried about reporting income. They are paid to break the law, why would they worry about filing ? They probably get paid in cash.

If less than $600 total from a single source, in a year, that source does not have to submit/issue 1099-misc

Make no mistake. If they can oust a dictator in the time it takes for a “Murder She Wrote Episode”, they know what kinks Joe down by the Circle K spanks off too and exactly who is paying for what
The question is why isn’t it stopped?

And where do they stay. Did some organization buy a flop house? Is this organization paying rent and groceries and toilet paper?

They’re all getting paid under the table.
If they get a 1099, it's probably in the name of some shell company that links to the funders through a web of other companies.

I read this as paid POSTERS like, folks on this board. I wonder if the same rules apply there too.
