What about the money being wired to DNC, NGOs and PACs?
Or is that still okay?

How do they stop it?
Good question. I can't picture the guy at Western Union or whatever saying: Sorry. No transfer for you. Your name and image came up on my screen with a red circle and a line through it.

Wild that this was allowed in the first place

Or some anti-ice “warriors” who will do it anyway.

Should never have been allowed.
They need to figure out how to stop them from using crypto though.

Pretty sure if they put it in crypto and then transferred it, that’d be a form of money laundering.
Would be a quick way of getting kicked out of the country or jailed.
That’s a risk they have to decide is worth it.

A Bank Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) is a mandatory filing by financial institutions with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) (a U.S. Department of the Treasury bureau, a U.S. Department of the Treasury bureau) to report suspected money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, or other illegal activities, usually involving transactions over $5,000 that seem unusual or lack a clear business purpose.
These reports help law enforcement track financial crimes and identify emerging trends, with common triggers including large cash transactions, complex transfers, or activity inconsistent with a customer's profile.
What Triggers a SAR?
Money Laundering: Transactions designed to hide the source of illegal funds.
Structuring: Breaking large transactions into smaller ones to avoid reporting thresholds.
Fraud & Embezzlement: Suspected internal theft or external scams.
Unusual Activity: Dormant accounts suddenly becoming active, inconsistent wire transfers, or complex transactions with no clear business reason.
Violations: Known or suspected violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Aside from what I posted above, why would anyone that is on public assistance even be sending money out of the country?
It’s not their money.
