As with all mock drafts take it with many grains of salt. To me it’s more about which positions and players are matches for the teams, and I like that they discuss options rather than just saying they take this guy.

The takeaways here:

1. Carnell Tate- WR (it appears this will be our trendy pick)
* they say take Love if he’s there, and they also say Woods would improve our DT slot which is needed. They don’t think we need DE, so pass on Banks, Faulk and Bailey.

2. Emmanuel Pegnon- G
* they discuss LB, DL but (rightfully) settle on G. We are desperate there, and Rds 2-3 is where you find guards

3. Dani Dennis-Sutton DL
* they talk DL, WR and TE but settle on DL. Personally I go TE but don’t hate DL here.

No on Tate, he isn’t a game changer

Like the picks in round 2-3. Absolutely hate the first pick. We need a receiver badly but i truly believe Tate is gonna be the worst of the top 3-4 receivers in Boston, bell, lemon (also don’t want), Tyson.

Yeah I'm no expert but the WR prospects at the top don't seem to be anywhere close to elite. It would be better to draft a tools guy late and roll the dice on development.

An Ohio st wr is never a bad pick

Do most of you think Olave is a %100 coming back. Given the past health issues and now this blood clot I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints do go WR in the first unless there is someone in FA they like.

I'm starting to believe that our 2 DEs are set in Young (had an elite year) and Granderson (very good, but PFF rates him higher than Young this year... not sure I agree with that). Based on their board, I'm down for Woods (but I worry he's overrated after Clemson's down year... did his play drop off too?), a WR or a CB. I also am more open now to drafting Love if he is there. His football IQ is out of this world. I still believe that WR and RB are luxury picks this high in a draft, but you have to play the board that's handed to you.

Really, just like every other draft, I am happy with whomever they select, because I know they know more about all of these players than I can ever even scratch the surface of. I don't get mad at picks unless it's someone I truly believe is a genuine bust candidate. That's exceptionally rare for me.

I know nothing about him, but based on what they are saying I am all in on this. G is probably our most glaring need on the entire team, and this is a desperately needed pick here. We could also fill our needs at LB and CB here (based off of their board), but I think passing up on a top G is a mistake.

I agree, but if LJ Martin does declare for the draft, he would be an absolute game changer on our team. He will bring that big, game controlling presence to the RB position. Dude is a stud, and I really want a RB of his style. We need another Deuce on this team.

*well never mind. I just looked it up and Martin decided to return to school his senior season. Apparently this was announced yesterday evening.

not a great year for WRs in the draft or FA unfortunately

tate seems more like a late rd 1 guy that's getting a bump because of a weak class, he's similar to egbuka, which isn't terrible

Just don’t want Tyson (2024 drop rate 8%, Mcshay said it should’ve been around 15%? In his video). He did improve a lot in ‘25

Bad knee injury in ‘22, hamstring this year.

Get one in the 2nd/3rd

If Bain is there, take hm. You can never have too many pass rushers. Young was a pleasant surprise this year but he has injury issues. Cam is near retirement and Granderson is good, very solid, but not elite.

I’ve given up on hoping this happens. Every year we want it, and every year we are let down. Should it happen, yes. At 8 we have moved past the true elites of this draft. If we can drop back to the 10-14 range we will still get a similarly rated player.

But Micky hates trading away but upwards

Some team desperate for a qb will get nervous about being jumped for Simpson and give us a call.
We make bank.
Good as any other lol

Simpson will be lucky to even be a 1st. He really faltered the second half of the season. I’m not sure he gets drafted first day

There is a critical shortage of qbs in the nfl. Let’s hope he tears it up at the combine and interviews. Just hoping for the “panic of 26”

Yeah if he shines at combine he can reignite interest. We need people to fall in love with him

The most ideal scenario is the Rams looking to jump Miami and come get him at 8. Or even Miami wanting to stop that and trading with us prophetically
