Read that the LPGA is moving their Major championship from Carlton Woods to Memorial Park. PGA tournament will be March 26-29 and the LPGA will be April 23-26. I’ll have to try and play there between those dates to see how nice the course conditions are.
Any local Houston folks have tips on how to get a decent mid-morning weekend tee time? Every time I try and book there’s nothing available.

Wake up at 6:00 am two weeks before the date you want and hope. You’ll have to pay a $20 early reservation fee (per person).

It’s going to be borderline impossible to get a prime weekend tee time during that stretch. If you really want to play it you’ll have to play on a weekday or try to walk on as a single (be ready to wait 3-4 hours).

Anything’s gotta be better than Carlton Woods. Tournament was an absolute disaster there.

I played with a friend one Sunday morning with a 7 something tee time.

Asked my friend how his buddy got it and he told me he has a computer program that snags them.

If you go to Gus Worthams page you have to click squares with stop signs/traffic lights before you book, not at Memorial.

Didn't the PGA/LPGA put up a ton of $ for the re-do at Carlton? Seems crazy to abandon after 2-3 years of a 10 year deal (I think it was a 10 year deal).

They will probably have the course closed between the two tournaments, especially if it rains before the men’s tournament and it gets tore up by fans.
