Blame it on the timing of the system, but the Oregon RB entering the portal tells you all you need to know.

Am I the only person considering not following college sports any longer?

It’s a pretty broken sport

TV companies basically run it. ESPN can have a 35 minute halftime to make up for their overpaid tv contracts

There is zero structure in college football

You have a playoff committee that will have Notre Dame ranked ahead of Miami and then flip flop the teams a week later when both were sitting at home. NOT saying they got it wrong. But the optics are horrible

The sport of college football is in a bad place. I’m afraid it’s going to get much worse before it gets a little better

Unregulated coach carousel unlike the NFL.

Idiotic transfer portal and signing day timelines

Coaches of a playoff team are moving on this week as well. It's all business decisions.

Neither do the coaches.

Probably not the only person, but I'm sure they won't miss you much. Viewership is doing just fine.

Is it?

The marquee games are going to get their ratings. But are the middle tier and bottom tier ratings still equal to the 2000s and 2010s?

Hopefully you can pull through seeing a couple less benchwarmers on the sideline in shiny jerseys. Praying 4u

Also, we literally have head coaches of teams making the playoffs leave for other schools

He had a 50 yard run pretty early in Oregon's prior game.

One of their DB's that had like 4 pass breakups and played in 9 games also entered.

the issue is having backups leave before the playoffs just because of how the schedule is set up is really crappy for

1) the players who want to leave for better opportunities but then have to pick and potentially leave current teams during what should be a top moment in their lives

2) the current team who are losing teammates and backups at positions that might be needed should an injury or concussion protocol happen (and on defensive side with injuries and risk of ejections for targeting etc)

the calendar just needs to be reset so that this isn’t happening while the season is still going on

frick it. Can’t blame the player being in it for money. Coaches are not showing up for tuition and dorms, corporate sponsor aren’t involved for the love of the game, multi billion dollar TV deals aren’t there just for the frick of it
