So Chris Finch gets ejected because of these awful no calls benefiting OKC

Since then the Thunder are .500, near the bottom of the league in FTAs and just got blown out by the Hornets.

They've gotten the cheapest whistle in the league while their players act like it's a football game and FTA and the gang can go suck a proverbial fat one. That is all.

I've never seen anything like it. Soft whistle when they're on offense and hacking dudes without consequence on the other end. OKC is good enough to win without the special treatment. Why give SGA free throws literally every time he flops around? It's a horrible brand of basketball.

I didn't know this happened btw. Thanks for posting.

Bro the Thunder were middle of the pack in free throws to begin with despite leading the league in drives in the paint. They’ve always been top of the league in fouls called.

I know this thread will spam SGA fouls but this idea they’re getting a soft whistle that determined their success is just bullshite with no statistical merit at all.

The reason they are playing bad is not because of the refs taking away some (non existent) advantage. They just suck at shooting, rebounding and their defense is being exposed now that teams know they crash the paint leaving wide open corner 3s. They’re also sadly a bad team merchant. Had easiest schedule in the league up until playing San Antonio.

It was never about the refs and that baby back bitch, Finch. The MVP is 16th in the league in FTA since December despite being top-3 in drives. OKC DESERVES MORE FTs

Yes. And the degree to which the league has gone to arbitrarily prop up OKC and SGA has even made me go god damn

Despite Luka continuing to flop every game and the Lakers leading the league in FT differential for the past five seasons..?

Is the “league propping up OKC” in the room with us? Because there’s no motive for the NBA to do that and there’s been no evidence to suggest that it’s happening

OKC's defensive fouls committed per game prior to the Chris Finch ejection: 20.5. OKC's defensive fouls committed per game since the ejection: 18.0. As fun a narrative as it is, there's really no sign of them getting a worse defensive whistle since that incident.

So ignorant

It’s not the number called. It’s WHEN and HOW they are called. This was specifically spelled out by Tim Donaghy, you know they “one ref” that was actually busted for fixing games.

Call them early on certain players for certain fouls and it affects the entire flow of the game. Players have to back off because of foul trouble, they play defense differently on star players opening up the floor for the star players offense etc etc. Then, once the game is in hand, call controlled fouls the other way for infractions to make it appear less obvious.

Stop posting facts and logic, the “experts” here have an agenda to fulfill.

They are online fans and using social media narratives to make their case. Don’t you know that means they are right? Come one, they can post one random clip and that solves it, OKC is getting special treatment.

I’ve learned this board is jot the place to have any NBA discussion. The agenda must go on. Its a troll feeding frenzy here.

This is a look at the common hate OKC poster here

OKC is losing because they are playing bad. Out rebounded last 2 games 101-62. This allows other teams to fast break and get mismatches. IHart is a bigger piece than people realize and he’s been out during most (not all) of this slump. OKC is shooting badly and not rebounding. Those are 2 bb fundamentals. And other teams have players setting career records for 3 makes. Double whammy

It only matters how they look the month or so prior to playoffs. I’ll take a 30-7 record when its obvious they hit a slump. How they respond over the next 2 weeks will be interesting. Anyways, let the trolls have their fun they suffered last year when OKC won the title and this year with the jot start. This is their time to troll don’t deny them after 1.5 years.

Yeah it's just been one random clip. You are so full of shite. You cant defend dort injuring players so deflect to draymonds antics, cant defend sga using his off arm to shove off 24/7, etc.

But yeah man theyre all out to get you guys lol

As a Wolves fan, I saw this a lot in the Western Conference Finals last year. We are not as good as they are, but the constant foul difference is ridiculous and terrible for the game. It is ironic this has happened since that game two weeks ago. 24-1 before and then 5-5 since - including losing to MIN that night.
