Why did Buster Faulkner make a lateral move from OC of GT to UF?

GT is a better program now and historically

Florida is in no way a lateral move in the 21st century, I don’t care what last years records say. More resources, more fans, SEC, etc. anyone takes that job over GT

I’ve been calling for Florida to go to the ACC or big 12 since that’s more of our caliber of program in the modern landscape…even a G5 conference would be better. That is if we don’t completely fold the program and go all in on basketball which is what we really should do

He could’ve been a g5 or lower p4 HC possibly or gone to a program set for success to boost his profile for a decent HC gig

In expanded playoffs it’s better to be in The ACC imo look at Miami, they get great talent just fine
