I sure did. I never said he was a bad prospect. I said Shough was a reach at #40 for his age, injury history and lack of dominant production in college.

7 defensive ends were taken after we took Shough until our pick of Broughton in the 3rd. Zero quarterbacks were taken during that time.

Since the Titans and Giants picked QBs before us, the only teams that needed qbs were us and the browns. The browns passed on him twice before us in the 2nd, so I doubt they were high on him or they would have taken him.

I didn’t think he was worth the gamble that high. Glad I’ve been wrong. But I still think there’s a chance we could have had Ezeriku and still got Shough. That’s strictly my opinion.
