Interesting RB 2 with season cut short still had 445 yards. The stat that intrigues me the most is 6.6 yards per carry.

Good comms. Had just updated it in tracker.

Scheduled to also visit Oregon, but I’d love to add him for depth.

I think Kewan Lacy ends up at LSU & Caden Durham ends up at Ole Miss when it’s all said and done.

My 2026 RB room prediction would be:
Harlem Berry
Kewan Lacy
Carter Vargas
JT Lindsey (pending legal issue)

2025 (Sophomore): Made appearances in eight games before injury cut short season ... On 67 attempts, racked up 445 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns ... Averaged 55.6 rushing yards per game and 6.6 yards per attempt ... Added 177 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns on 10 receptions ... Rushed for 136 yards on six carries, with two rushing touchdowns against Southern Utah (Sept. 20) ... Scored a receiving touchdown on a 57-yard pitch and catch against Weber State (Sept. 27) ... Had 90 yards on the ground, using 16 carries at Northern Colorado (Oct. 25) ... Scored twice on the ground against Idaho State (Nov. 1).

2024 (Freshman): Appeared in one game ... Rushed for 27 yards on two carries, scoring one touchdown on the ground against Northern Colorado (Nov. 2)

nice run vs Washington. Looks like a Logan Diggs type. Can catch the ball out of the backfield, too.

Probably not, but Lane & staff have said they would like to keep him pending the resolution of his legal issue. In this portal era, I also think he goes elsewhere after 2026 season. (If anyone would take a chance on him, likely G5 at best)

Can’t really play for any team until legal matter is resolved.

He’d be in the portal today had Ole Miss lost to Georgia. Sources in Ole Miss camp say they have a $1.8M offer on the table to re-sign him. I’ve heard from multiple sauces that LSU will happily exceed that.

His position coach, OC, and HC all came here. He was on Pat McAfee’s live stream with Kiffin during the “will he stay or will he go” portion of the debacle.

I like him, and can see how he could fit into the offense, Thanks for sharing that

I don’t understand why people think Kiffin wants to spend so much on a RB. He took a Missouri backup last offseason (Lacy). I don’t think Lacy is uber talented, you could plug a lot of decent backs into Kiffin’s system.

iPad you’ve got to be prior military using the phrase “good comms”?

Having to turn over the entire offense, it would make sense to have a few tried & true pieces. I do understand your point though. I don’t think it is a necessity the same way I think he could succeed without a QB that was a star in 2025, too.

You have to wonder with a guy like kiffin how much of this is just wanting to pay the guys he likes and has familiarity and comfort with vs how he would ideally build a roster. Idt Kiffin would ever spend $2M on a RB if it wasn't Lacy but I get that he wants to take guys who can help build his culture in year 1. Now is that smart or is he just being a bit emotional? Personally I think it's a little reckless. RBs get hurt all the time and value can always be found at that position much cheaper. There's a major opportunity cost there but I kind of get why he's doing it

Kiffin probably wants a RB who can step in immediately and know all the blocking assignments especially with a new QB and O line. Probably worth the overpay.

Looks like we may be replacing one injured running back with another injured running back- but in Lane I trust
