Wants a great deal more money, and Tennessee rejected his demands. The new World Order of College Football.

All SEC left tackle but don't see him coming home. More important to bring back Moore at Center. Besides we have a whole line to rebuild.

Someone like Texas will probably pony up

Why not? From Louisiana, came to LSU, left because he wasn’t going to play.

He would now play, why wouldn’t he come back.

And he wanted more money. Which is why he wasn't kept. He wanted starter money. I know its pretty much same thing but..

Are we not in position to pay him starter money? He might be the top tackle available, from Louisiana.

Not trying to be contradictory, but why not LSU this time?

And he will get starter money. I don’t know why so many people want to bargain bin shop in the portal. We’re going to spend big bucks.

Especially on OLINE. Even though Nuss could barely throw the ball we could’ve won some of those games if we had a fricking serviceable oline and run game

I respect that Tennessee isn’t falling for this 2 years in a row (Nico last year). Or it may just be that they literally can’t afford it.

Maybe it will go that way & Heard finds out his asking price is too high. I hope we don’t overpay

He left because he wanted $$$. Don’t be naive.

This. Feel like we need to spend the budget on the trenches or the QB search will be for not.

Means nothing to most kids these days. he is chasing the bag and ain't giving a hometown discount. We need to bring back Moore and add multiple starters across the line... gotta spend wisely

We should pay to keep Curne, Echols, and Calloway. With coaching they can be great.

Agreed on Curne. The other 2 can be developed but wouldn't overpay

And please for the love of God move Curne back to guard

The amount was not disclosed. But the Tennessee site made it clear the coaches told him to move on. In addition, they have a young tackle who can take his spot.

We are now. If they want him. I was just pointing out that he didn't leave just for starting time. He wanted starter money and rightfully so. But we weren't going to pay a backup starter money. Most thought he was 3 and out anyway. So the thought was that he'd be paid highly as a backup and we'd only have him start for the 2025 season after Will left.

I say pay him.

I’m with ya now. I was just curious why Honkus said he’s likely going elsewhere and not LSU.

General consensus seems like money is his highest priority, and heavily outweighs the desire to play for his home state. I do know he’s wants north of $2 Mil, guess that’s more than Lane & Co. are willing to allocate to a LT.

WRONG...HE WAS playing. just not the position (LT) that he wanted to play.
