How does Ole Miss win affect the portal?

I'm guessing none of these guys are going to leave because Ole Miss isn't going to let them with the money on the table.

It definitely does. This just isn’t true. The portal opens tomorrow. Players one game away from the natty aren’t entering but keep pumping smoke all you want to make yourself feel better. This isn’t good at all.

I’m curious about that too. I think they get a small extension if they make it deeper into the playoffs.

It doesn’t matter if you had an undefeated perfect season, in this era of college football, you’d still have transfers. Money means more to 18-22 year old kids than anything else.

there’s an extra window for teams still competing when their season ends
how it really affects is now the LSU staff will have to take a gamble on if any Ole Miss players say they want to transfer, and you don’t take a backup and then they back out you’re stuck

So let’s try to build a roster with the portal ending January 16th and keep some spots open for potential players on Ole Miss team. You can spin this however you want, but it’s not good and would’ve been much better if Ole Miss lost tonight.
