The amount of holding on both sides is wild

When they finally call a holding penalty then you'll know the refs are cheating.
So far they eject a uga corner for hitting with his pads not the crown of the helmet but Stockton gets murdered and no review.

The crown of the helmet is not a requirement for targeting in college football; you need to learn the rules.

Forcible contact to the head or neck area constitutes targeting.
By the letter of the law it was the correct call.

I know the rules and he wasnt hitting a defenseless runner. He "already" had possession and was running with the ball. Maybe you should "learn the rules".
Leading with the crown does come into play when the ball carrier is not defenseless. He wasnt. He gave him good ole fashioned shoulder pads. He didnt lead with the crown of his body(helmet) in that situation so it should have not been targeting. If the kid was defenseless which he wasnt(dont listen to the media idiots)then I could see perhaps.

That's fair, you should have led with that. The problem was that they ruled he was a defenseless player. I did actually say that to my son, that I didn't think he was defenseless.

He hit him right in the facemask, man.

OM having 1 penalty on the night seems awfully suspect to me.

They usually play clean football but there are alot of holds and no calls.

The runner put himself in that position, he is supposed to lower his shoulder and "win field position" not retreat like a pussy. A runner cannot be considered defenseless while running forward unless its helmet to helmet. A defender using his oads should never be called for targeting regardless where the contact occured. Maybe they should have a rule for improper rushing of the football
It was a bullshite call just like the bullshite no call on Stockton. Refs are DEI/woke enhanced just like you bro

They actually average 5.8 almost 6 a game. I understand it’s not over but as I stated 1 is suspect.
Curious the only other time they have had 1 was against Tulane last game. Interesting that they lose their head coach and become more disciplined.

I can agree. Just watch the oline on every play. On the drive ole miss had the big pass and then the run to make it 19, the oline literally across the line held the whole dline. No calls.

The rules are what they are. Whether we like them or not.
I thought DEI folks were the ones who liked to ignore the rules.

That hold was on Stockton. Just throw it away.

A hit to the head is targeting regardless of what part of the body.
