That’s the date the portal closes as far as entering the portal. There is no deadline to select a new school. Also, teams playing deeper get an extended portal entry deadline.

Why would we wait on a player that hasn't even had his NCAA waiver approved for a 6th year? Also why bother blowing a ton of money on a player even f his waiver is approved, that would only be here for 1 year?

Bc he’s plug & play for Kiffin’s offense. He already knows it and gives us another year to develop the next QB.

On paper that sounds great but the portal opens tomorrow and what happens if the NCAA denies his request, or he decides to stay with Ole Piss? Then we're fricked.

LSU will not wait on Chambliss if he has not be given another year of eligibility. When portal opens tomorrow, if our QB choice is available we grab him and deal with Chablis if and when he is an option.
