Luke Fortner has been great at center. McCoy is a beast when healthy but that’s been rare the past few seasons. Fortner should be re-signed and McCoy traded for mid round picks and much needed cap relief.

They had Simpkins taking reps at center. He might be the future depending if he can pick it up. But yeah. McCoy has become trade bait.

Sadly, because of Mickey’s restructuring, we won’t save cap space by trading/cutting him until the 2027 season.

I thought they had him play there and Ruiz at center when ruiz first got drafted

That was the plan, until TC came around and they realized that McCoy is the better center and too small to play guard.
