I genuinely would like to see the list of candidates, with their records and qualifications. 1000% DEI and they should be ashamed.

What's the problem with her hire?
Is it because she's a woman?
Is it because she's gay?
Is it because she worked in the Department for more than 30 years?
Is it because she previously served as the chief of emergency medical services?
Is it because she was a part of the 9/11 response?

We don't have the resumes of the other candidates, but it does appear that she has the experience and qualifications that are necessary for the job.
So what exactly is the problem with her being hired?

"This is literally a job that people cannot live without. We have to make sure we are taking care of our EMS system," said Bonsignore.

If it had been a white male baw who had been appointed, not a single one of you would have been concerned or even noticed.
Deputy chief with 30+ years with the Department, chief of EMS, who was one of the 9/11 heroes, of course baw is qualified. Great hire.

No problem if she is the most qualified available. Would have a problem if this is DEI hire.
