Did we ever see players interact with WG like this?

I think maybe in the beginning players liked Willie but I do think after a certain point we were tired of his shite, and so were the players.

They've been interacting with Borrego like this for what? 2 years?

The only player who didnt like Borrego was Ingram because he told him to stop dribbling the air out of the ball and to take more 3s

In the beginning Willie looked like the real deal, but it sure didn’t turn out that way. It seems the team lost onfidence in him. He seemed like a good guy, though.

I think you can attribute that more to the team actually having better talent than what many realized. The fact they sucked so bad was because of Willie, and what little they did accomplish was in spite of him.

I don't think we truly appreciate how bad Willie was as a head coach, even now. This dude was complete arse in every way possible.

Guys like him can motivate a certain type of person, but when it's clear that he's not intelligent and has no ability to plan properly or adjust, players will tune him out.

Motivation only gets you so far in the modern NBA. This isn't the 70s-90s. Players understand they need a smart, technical coach to have a chance and Willie was never going to be that.

Worst thing that happened in the Willie Green tenure was that comeback against the Clippers in the play-in..

That one "you gotta fight" sound bite gave him so much more slack and national praise than he deserved
