I believe I cracked the code. My situation changed this year and I can’t do another round this year but I can recommend some tips for having a memorable start to the year. Would anyone like to hear them?

This thread is borderline more suited to the OT but many of them probably don’t really go anywhere.

Remember that this is geared for the single man looking for adventure…

- Pick an English speaking city, preferably out of the South, that you want to visit (assuming you are Southern, your accent will make you seem exotic to people you encounter if you leave the South)

( Another word on destination selection: Be smart about it if you would like to have this type of adventure. A resort type location where almost all of the women are with a man isn’t what you want. Do some research)

- Make solo travel plans. Anyone traveling with you will limit your flexibility and block opportunities

- Book your room within walking distance of wherever that city’s ‘scene’ is located

- Get to the city on 12/30 at the latest. This gives you at least a day before the new year to explore around some, possibly make some connections, but more importantly have some local references to bring up in conversations

- Figure out if you want to lock into a party (or parties) on NYE night or just post up at a bar at start talking to people. I like to wear a sport coat

- Realize that on this night of the year you are the hunted with a midnight capture time and make the most of it

- Fly back home on 1/2.

Enjoy the memories from your adventure

Damn you really have cracked the code in this thread. To put it in a sentence - travel and go out New Year’s Eve. Crazy shite man!

Breaking news

There's always the Southern hemisphere, it's summer and hot. NYE and few clothes on latinas, win win.

A little more to it than that

Anyway, some of this might be useful to someone.

It just seems like a lot of work and money spent.
I just drive down to NOLA for NYE and find the same results.

This tactic also works well within two weeks of Valentine's Day.

Understood. Part of the appeal to this (to me) is going somewhere new though, or far away.

Yep I used to always try to travel to the Caribbean for NYE. They still have warm beach weather and the people down there love to party. It's a good travel plan in general, regardless of whether or not you're chasing tail. Once I moved away from home I had to quit because now my holidays plans always require me to go home and visit family
