Can't be legit... Did you go through the checkout process?

Edit - Did some searching, may be a scam website. I wouldn't give them any info.

I didn't but a coworker did. It's Tikka's official website. Everything went thru on his end. Waiting to see if he gets a confirmation or a "sorry we can't honor that sale due to a misprint on our website".

Im not sure about that. If you just Google tikka, the Sako (parent company) website comes up.

Something is off because if you arrow over to a different product, you cant just arrow back to the $139 rifle. That same site has 17hmr for $700. I would proceed with caution.

Looks like for that cartridge they forgot a 2 in the price. The other cartridges in that style are $1239.

grok is saying that is a known scam site

quote:

No, LINK is not a legitimate website. It's widely regarded as a scam operation designed to exploit interest in Tikka rifles (a popular brand under Sako/Beretta). Here's a breakdown of why, based on multiple indicators:
Key Red Flags

Lack of Basic Legitimacy Features: The site has no "Contact Us" or "About Us" pages (attempts to access them return server errors). There's no physical address, phone number, company history, or return policy listed anywhere on the homepage or product pages. Legitimate firearm dealers are required to display this information clearly, especially since they must hold a Federal Firearms License (FFL) to sell guns in the US—no FFL details or verification appear here.
Suspicious Design and Functionality: The site looks like a generic e-commerce template with stock product photos pulled from official Tikka/Sako listings. It lacks trust signals like security badges (e.g., Norton, McAfee), customer testimonials, or integration with reputable payment processors beyond basic credit card/PayPal options. No user reviews exist on the site or major platforms like Trustpilot or Google.
Domain and Ownership Issues: Registered on November 30, 2023 (about 2 years old as of now), which is relatively new for a supposed established dealer. WHOIS data is hidden (common for scams to obscure ownership). Low traffic and no external backlinks further suggest it's not a real business.
Payment and Fulfillment Tricks: Reports indicate that orders may initially "process" successfully, but buyers then receive fake confirmation emails from suspicious addresses (e.g., hasrisodiki@gmail.com) requesting additional payments via PayPal "Friends & Family" (which offers no buyer protection) or wire transfers. No rifles ship, and funds are lost.

He probably needs to dispute the charge immediately if he made it on a cc.

I added 2 to my cart and started to place an order, but at checkout process it felt like a red flag that the only payment they offered was all the various online payments like zelle, cash app, venmo, paypal, etc, no option to pay with a credit card, or via crypto currency for a 15% discount. Yea, that site is bullshite for sure.
