Cam is sitting in 17th place at 130 sacks. He passed Rickey Jackson yesterday on the official sack list. Oddly enough, the only two guys that have more sacks than him that are not in the Hall of Fame are the next two that he can pass (excluding LT at 132.5).

Leslie O'Neal has 132.5 and John Abraham as 133.5. It is amazing what he has accomplished this year. He came into the season at 121.5 sacks and we were hoping he could get to 125. If he plays another season at this level, top 10 is not off the table. Richard Dent and John Randle are tied at #10 with 137.5 sacks.

He took some shots at Dennis Allen yesterday in his pressor

"did yal know I'm not a NT? I mean thankfully I'm no longer incarcerated. Sorry I shouldn't say that, I'm out of purgatory"

He is far from the AP level player, but if Cam Heyward for Pittsburgh is still producing at a solid level on a reasonable deal (2/29mil), I don't see the issue with bringing him back another year or 2 if he wants to finish his career.

He said so himself to start the year, the guys infront of him (Young & Granderson) are the starters, he's taken on a backup role and had exceeded most if not all of our expectations of him this season. Still grading out a solid 70 and higher than Carl Granderson as well.

IMO, it is worth extending him and Demario because of the dead money we have to pay them anyway. Pay Cam something like 2 year / 12 million and push is cap hit out over that timeframe. It is the same as Johnson an Young were. You have them on the books for 12 million regardless.

I’ve got no problem with signing both to reasonable 1-2 year deals. This team will likely be even younger overall next season, and they’ll all benefit from the veteran leadership of two potential HoF’ers.

Only 2 guys ahead of him that did it all with one franchise (ironically the same franchise). That means something.

If he comes back one more year he could theoretically get top 10. Come on back Cam!
