In 2015, 247Sports debuted their Team Talent Conpisite, a measure of the talent of every player on each FBS team. 2025 Indiana’s #72 talent composite ranking is the lowest by any team to ever receive a first place vote in the AP poll.

This is the biggest Cinderella story in CFB history already imo, as they’ve already racked up hardware this season from the Heisman to a Big 10 conference championship. Winning a national championship would only solidify that.

They’ve already beat #1 Ohio State (#3 talent composite) for a conference championship, next up they have #8 Alabama (#2 talent composite), then probably #5 Oregon (#5 talent composite) and finally #3 Georgia (#1 talent composite) or a rematch against an Ohio State seeking revenge. It is pretty remarkable they are the unanimous #1 team in the country as voted on by every pollster in the AP and Coaches poll. There’s no sneaking up on anyone at this point.

Do you really expect that they win 4 of their programs biggest games in 4 straight matchups?

No.

If Bama plays like they did in the 2nd half for the entire game, then I think Bama wins. Also think they would have issues with Oregand/Tech, as well.

They aren't beating Georgia

That said, they can beat Bama as long as they play their game

They beat Oregon in Eugene.

They also have shown no signs of regressing like Alabama. Oklahoma and Alabama are pretty even in their flaws and inconsistency. They shouldn’t be anointed as such a slam dunk already.

Yeah, hard to beat a team twice in the same season.

They had like 160 yards and scored on drives of 60, 40, and 35 yards. Good luck to them if that’s what they need to win.

For the entire game.

If they score 42, then I like their chances.

They can't go 2 for 11 on 3rd down and be one-dimensional against Indiana. They'll lose by 14

If you think that Alabama team that can’t run the ball is going to line up Indianas tier 1 D and drop 42 on them, I think you need to go to rehab. They’re going to make bama 1 dimensional like they did tOSU and come at that QB all night.

I think Bama wins too imo, even as a TD dog. All 4 of my brackets I made on espn are perfect through the first round. I have Bama beating Indiana in 3 of them. We’ll see but I think the slipper falls off sooner rather than later

Bama does that by themselves.

Jesus…I said “if”. Never said Bama would go out and roll IU.

We hear all this talk about how great Cignetti is, and rightfully so, but Day, DeBoer, Lanning and Smart aren’t no slouches. Indiana is more talented than what they’re given credit for but in the end there’s more NFL talent on all of those other rosters. It would be pretty mind blowing for Cignetti’s staff to out scheme them so badly that they come away with wins in all those. Especially given they may have 1 or 2 rematches left and it’s tough to beat a team twice in the same season when they’re not inferior teams

The fact you think it is remotely plausible is crazy. Nothing either of these two has shown all season should lead you to believe that Alabama could do that to Indiana in the absence of a turnover spree and Bama scoring multiple times on D/ST.

Nobody has scored 30 on Indiana, only Oregon and Penn State got to 20, both road games for Indiana. They held Oregon to under 300 yards. They dominated Ohio state at line of scrimmage and held them to 58 on the ground, 265 total.

The last time Alabama saw a team this good, they were humiliated for 60 minutes and had -3 yards rushing. And Georgia isn’t on Indianas level offensively. If Bama wins, it will be in a street fight where nobody gets to 20.

You sure are confident that Bama has no chance. Sounds like you can make some easy cash. Put your money where your mouth is.

I think you have this backwards. If Indiana plays their A game, there's nothing Bama can do to win.
