Feel like gnats are way worse this time of year than in years past

I don’t remember really being attacked my gnats outside at this time of the year than in years past. Not sure if why other than places just refusing to spray for bugs this close to winter. No clue
I’ve had to leave multiple places because gnats are so bad. Just got eaten the frick alive for being outside for 30 seconds
