FedEx international delivery

Has anyone on here had any international FedEx deliveries in the past couple months that can share the final delivery process they experienced?
I'm expecting a package shipped from Serbia using FedEx. The package was shipped 11/26 and with delivery duties unpaid. Does FedEx deliver first and then collect any money owed or will the package sit in customs until I figure out how to pay? If I am expected to pay first, I have no clue how to figure that out because FedEx does not have my e-mail or phone number as far as I know. This is my first international package since the tariffs began.
Thank you for any help.

Just had an order from Falco Holsters in Italy delivered last week (FedEx). no issues with customs or any nonsense at all... 4 days from pickup to delivery to my doorstep.
Side note Falco makes some fantastic holsters, even for less than common pistols that might deserve Italian leather...

You can pay FedEx duties online via a secure link sent by email/SMS, through the FedEx website using your tracking or invoice number, via FedEx Billing Online (for account holders), or in some cases, by electronic bank transfer.
Payment Methods
Online Payment Portal (Recommended): This is the primary and most efficient method.
Secure Link: FedEx may send you an email or SMS text message with a unique, secure link to their online payment system. The link directs you to a portal where you can view a breakdown of charges and pay securely using a credit card, PayPal, or other local options (like UPI in India or various debit options).
FedEx Website: You can also navigate directly to the FedEx payment portal and use your tracking number or invoice number to make a payment.
FedEx Billing Online: If you are a regular customer with a FedEx account, you can sign up for FedEx Billing Online to manage, view, and pay all your invoices electronically.
Electronic Bank Transfer (EFT): In many countries, you can pay via electronic bank transfer. The specific bank details (Account name, IBAN, etc.) will be provided on your invoice. You must include the invoice number or tracking number in the transfer details to ensure proper allocation of your payment.
Cash/Cheque (Location-dependent): In some specific regions, you might be able to pay the courier directly with cash or a cheque upon delivery, but online payment is generally preferred and more widely available.

Had a package from Ireland shipped on 10/22 and arrived at Memphis FedEx international section. It has never left there and is now considered lost.

Thank you.
I purchased from a highly reviewed, reputable Etsy seller. Many reviews mention an excessively long delivery time. I'll wait a little while longer.
