It is a victory for the US Government. There was no altruistic motive in the fight over TikTok. The Federal government of the USA just wanted to be the ones with majority control over the massive platform it has become, and all the power it holds.

You left out something in your rant. This action was takin against China. You know our economic and military rival who has guns and nukes pointed at us meaning you too. Spies all in our country, stealing, bribing blackmailing its way to get everything it can from this country. That China. Just back from Panama. The Panamanian people hate China and are some happy the US has taken back as much control as we have. Screw China. Anything we can do to weaken them is good for the USA.
