What I find puzzling is the Left is so afraid of the bogeyman of a "Christian Theocracy" yet turn a blind eye to the formation of an Islamic one. They actually believe Christianity is a bigger threat than Islam.

I think all of islam is a problem. The "moderates" are never outspoken about the bad things the jihadists do.
If they dont denounce it they support it. They dont want to be labeled as a dangerous person by us infidels but they arent trying to stop it either.
