Scoring App - Squabbit

Wanted to give a shout out to the Squabbit app. I have a Friday golf group that usually has between 10-18 guys every week and we were doing everything after the round by using scorecards. We started using the Squabbit app a few weeks ago and has made everything so much smoother after the round. There are a ton of games that you can play on the app, we typically just do Skins and then a quota game (some days we'll do 2-man best ball or other team game). Everyone can see where they stand during the round and then afterwards, I just divvy up the money and move on.
If you have a regular group of 8+ and you don't have any live scoring, look into Squabbit. It's free as well!

I've brought it up in a few threads on here. I love it. I used it for our group's trip to Bandon where we played a Ryder Cup with a skins game throughout. It's not the most complicated set up, but it was so convenient having everything done right in the app with the winnings calculated all together. I also really like how I can put a bunch of games on a round after the fact just to see how certain game setups would have gone. I like to nerd out on that stuff.
The best part is that it is free. The only downside is that we are so ingrained in the Grint with following each other's rounds and scoring history that we can't dive fully into just using this.

I think this is one of the best things about it (and similar apps). Games are supposed to make the round more entertaining rather than just playing for your own stroke score. So, where is the enjoyment of having one guy doing all the tallies in the grill after the round. It's cool knowing you and another guy have the highest score in quota heading into the last hole.

I used it for my scramble this year. People can register and pay for the tournament through the app if you link a Stripe account. Live scoring works great too. I'm a fan.

We used it for a Bandon trip this year as well. Worked great, but we had a hard time getting everyone to buy in on it.

I just did this today to test a new game that i'm going to do on Friday. We usually do Stableford, but this week I want to do Quota so I wanted to test some scoring methods and adjust HDCPs to ensure the low handicaps wouldn't get pissed at the strokes.

I had some guys that were being stubborn as well, and they are now the biggest advocates of it!

We always use Quota because you don't have to worry about the index of each hole. However, it's not as fun at the beginning of rounds if there is a wide variance of handicaps because the higher handicaps are so far ahead. So, I am in the opposite boat from you, I'd love to give Stableford a try. But on the first tee, most guys are just looking for the simplest game.

This sounds like exactly what our league needs. We play a Stableford event every month. Great way to keep track of 24 golfers.
Thanks for the recommendation.

You can also set up leagues in it. So, all of the history of these events is stored in there.
