Anybody have a good recommendation?

pics? What'd you get?

When you find one, let me know. I mostly do my own driveline work on my 80, so have never had the need...yet. Thankfully my diffs have given no problems...yet.

There used to be a guy in Prairieville that worked on them I think.

I've never brought mine to him but someone here mentioned he was a master Toyota mechanic

C&R on Burbank near LSU. Greg worked at dealership for a long time, very honest guy. Still drive my tundra back from TX panhandle for him to work on it.

He worked really hard on diagnosing but again, could not remedy the problem. I bought a new ECM, which ended up not being the problem. He was communicative and really tried-just could not fix it

Sometimes it's like that.

I was over at his place a couple of weeks ago and he was telling me how he replaced a power supply in one of the on board computers in a Lexus. The owner brought it to Mitch because it was at Price for a couple of weeks and they couldn't fix it. I asked well how did you find it? "Right place, right time, and know what to look for"

Its hell troubleshooting and not be able to recreate the problem. Working on control systems in plants is the same way. If you didn't see exactly what happened, you may never figure out why something failed.
