Is this an actual retirement or him saying "frick you" to the WBC for stripping him of the belt and he'll be back in the ring in a couple years?

This. Go out on top and don't hang around long enough to watch your legacy start to fade by accumulating losses like so many fighters before him have done.

He's made enough money in his career to live a comfortable life, and he deserves it. Boxing at that level is a grueling way to make a living.

Bud proved me wrong with his easy win over Alvarez in his last fight. I, like many others, thought a two division weight jump would prove to be too much of a reach for him, but he totally outclassed Alvarez and actually made him look old and slow.
