Trade Derek Carr when he inevitably wants to return to the league next season. Lots of QB needy teams
They appear to be limiting Yiadom’s snaps so they can get the comp pick for Adebo
We could be looking at a few extra mid round picks

I would have assumed they gave up the rights to him when they negotiated the settlement to recapture the guaranteed money.

We still own the rights to Carr and Tyrann. If they decide to come back. Not sure if we’d bother trying to trade Tyrann but Carr should fetch value

Poor Yiadom got put in the deep freezer for that 4th round pick

I think Tyrann just comes back to us next season. Take a year off. Get rejuvenated. See the promise of Shough and come back for one more year with Cam and Demario.

I think we owe Carr a solid if we own the rights, so I would let him walk.

Get the 4th Rd comp.
Trade Yiadom + 6th for a 5th.
Trade Olave to Buff for late 1st.
Trade Godchaux (2) 5ths + 4th for 3rd.

Then pay Elijah Vera-Tucker 18-23mil with the $22mil you just saved trading the 3 guys above.
Draft C Downs so we can trade Reid.
Draft WR/ WR with late 1st and 2nd.
Cut Taysom, AK, Shepherd. ($20mil)
Trade Reid/ Werner ($15mil)
Spent the remaining money on DL/ CB/ LB as our only needs.

Are you saying that if we acquire Elijah Vera- Tucker that we also need 2 more guards and a center?
Vera- Tucker and McCoy can play OG and you have (1) of Fortner/ Ruiz/ Simpkins at C with (2) of them on the bench along with Sherman/ Radunz now at backup OG.
We would for sure be taking a chance with McCoy and Vera-Tucker having injury risks but they are also elite level lineman when healthy. Ruiz off the bench goes from a negative to possibly a really good reserve.

My first choice is not a high priced FA coming off IR but our coaches certainly may differ.
Ruiz as a backup pleases no one but his contract makes it likely.
I have seen nothing from all our injured backups that say starter or good backups either.
As an aside would anyone want this WR?
40-Yard Dash: 4.43 seconds (76th percentile).
Vertical Jump: 39 inches (85th-88th percentile, tied for 3rd).
Broad Jump: 132 inches / 11 feet (94th-97th percentile, top 5).
3-Cone Drill: 6.71 seconds (87th-88th percentile, ranked 1st).
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.15 seconds (71st percentile, tied for 2nd).
Overall Athleticism:
Considered a top athlete in the WR class, showcasing elite explosiveness and agility, especially with his near-record 3-Cone time.

FYI, can't cut Taysom. His contract automatically voids mid-March. Nothing to save here as his full $13.7M in prorated bonuses have to hit when the contract voids.
Cutting AK & Shepard result in an additional $40k in dead money at the time of the transaction. You can designate them as post 6/01 cuts, but you do not get that cap relief until June 2nd. You then save $12.5M on your 2026 cap, which then adds it all to your 2027 cap.
Also, if you are going to move AK, the best cap move is to trade him even if it's for a 7th rounder. He has $3M in guaranteed salary for 2026 that will hit the books in 2026 regardless of when he's cut. Pre-draft trade would not allow you to spread the cap hit, but it will still save you in the end.
