Mamdani's pattern of empowering extremists is on full display again. First he mocked Jewish traditions, faked black identity, and now he's pushing Aber Kawas—who openly defended al Qaeda terrorist Syed Fahad Hashmi—into City Hall. This isn't "advocacy," it's betrayal.

He was very open about who he was when he ran, this is who they voted for and they knew it.

Trump said to give him a shot and that he's cheering for him. I'm going to give the guy a chance before I judge

Elections have consequences. New York voted for this.

People that believed that NYC would "learn from this in 4yrs" were foolish. I will glad to be wrong, but hard to think all the tentacles he is going to put in place will be hard to unravel.

So much anti-American evil is going to grow out of NYC, and eventually make their way throughout our nation. All the "they get what they voted for" people will be eventually wondering "how did it get this way?"

Some think he did

New York City Councilman Zohran Mamdani faced significant criticism and accusations of antisemitism for sharing a parody video that many found to be mocking Jewish traditions.

In December 2024 (and resurfaced in July 2025 during his mayoral campaign), Mamdani shared a video on social media wishing people a "Happy 3rd night of Hanukkah". The video, titled "Hey Hanukkah" by the Geeta Brothers Duet Group, features two Indian men in wigs dancing with a menorah and spinning dreidels to Punjabi-style music in a comedic fashion.

Jewish advocacy groups, notably StopAntisemitism.org, condemned the post, labeling it "sick" and stating that Jewish holidays and traditions "are sacred and not for your comedic pleasure". Critics argued the video was culturally insensitive and trivialized a significant religious holiday.

How is it betrayal exactly? He's doing exactly what he said he was going to do!

Sounds lame, but they have to be kidding with:

“ Trump said to give him a shot and that he's cheering for him. I'm going to give the guy a chance before I judge ”

Trump knows full well that the incoming mayor will be head of the largest city that represents America. Giving that mayor attention in the WH is more about providing a stage that will eventually be used to hang himself on.
