Between this, 2021, 2014, and 1997, Hank has suffered some exceptionally bad breaks in the playoffs. If not for 1987, he'd be by far the GOAT ringless coach in LHSAA football history.

Do you remember the Colquitt County @ North Gwinnett state title game? It was on campus because there was an ice storm or something in Atlanta. Similar ending (and better yet because Rush Propst came out on the losing end).

Yeah I just watched it again.
NG is on the CC 46 with :09 left.
NG unsuccessful hail mary but substitution penalty is called on CC.
NG unsuccessful hail mary but substitution penalty is called on CC.
NG unsuccessful hail mary but PI is called on CC.
Kicker redeems himself with a 21 yard FG to win.
