Are we going to see a shift? ABC is a pure foreign protectionist cult. NBC irrelevant. I’m old but would like to see changes. Habits hard to change. CBS gonna do it?
ETA: sponsors are still Rx so not sure how that figures in to things but I won’t be convinced until ads change.

Its going to be very pro Israel. Will be interesting to see if anyone other than MSNBC becomes openly anti Israel as a strategy to gain new viewers

It’s almost impossible to change an organization as big as CBS News. There are so many fricktards working there it’s like wake mole. There may be a slight shift but don’t expect them to be much different. Just report the fricking news as it is and don’t make shite up would be a welcome change.

Got it. She’s a bandaid. Not a serious shift in journalism. She’s an appeasement.

You are about to see a dramatic shift in CNN so that will be a start

Can we get past the first page of any thread without some a-hole spouting antisemitism. It really is childish.

I watched CBS Evening News for the first time in 10 years last night, and other than the two dudes reading the news, kinda weird, it wasn't overtly offensive a la Scott Pelley.

Nope. They are not going to 'break off' with the likes of Norah O'Donnell, Lesley Stahl, and other 'reporters' still on the payroll.

Never a fan of the two dudes in the same studio unless it was a special, a reporter for a single story, a round table discussion, or an interview.
A man does the news solo, or at least has a piece of female eye candy sitting next to him.
I wasn’t around for this but at a time, an announcer called out each reporter and where they were reporting from before the news started. Walter stayed anchored to the New York desk, but Dan Ratherand Tom Brokow brought the anchor desk to where the news was happening to report live from the scene, by the 1980’s satellite technology made that possible. By the 2010, satellite technology met its match as cellular internet made it possible transmit anywhere you had cell service.
