California forces Tahoe School District to compete in California instead of Nevada

because Nevada does not allow males to compete in female sports.
For the last 40 years, the Tahoe Truckee School District has competed in Nevada instead of California (not uncommon, there are Louisiana teams that compete in Mississippi and Mississippi teams that compete in Tennessee)

Yeah in the segregation academy association… I don’t know if there is another example of this among NFHS associations. I asked a Mississippi board about us joining them and they said it couldn’t happen
But it does kind of make sense that California schools compete in California
